These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Kibo, available at kibo.so and through the Kibo iOS application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You may not create more than one account per person.
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use Kibo.
Subscription and Billing
- Kibo offers monthly and annual subscription plans. All payments are processed through Stripe.
- Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.
AI Coaching Disclaimer
Kibo provides AI-generated coaching guidance to help you set and work toward your goals. It is important to understand:
- Kibo is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice.
- The AI coach provides general guidance and accountability support, not licensed professional services.
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or need professional support, please consult a qualified professional.
- We do not guarantee specific outcomes from using the service. Results depend on your individual effort and circumstances.
User Content
- You retain ownership of all content you create in Kibo, including goals, commitments, and chat messages.
- By using the service, you grant Kibo a limited license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing and operating the service.
- You are responsible for the content you submit and agree not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Acceptable Use
When using Kibo, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
Service Availability
- Kibo is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time.
Account Termination
- You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
- Upon termination, your access to the service will cease. Your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kibo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Kibo after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
